The Three Things People Mix Up Most

By far the most common source of confusion is treating the Singapore visa, the Visit Pass (e-Pass), and the SG Arrival Card as the same thing. They're not — the visa is pre-travel permission, the e-Pass is granted digitally at the checkpoint on arrival, and the SG Arrival Card is a separate free declaration submitted within 3 days before you arrive. All three questions come up repeatedly in the FAQ list below.

What This Site Does and Doesn't Cover

We assist with two categories only — tourist/social visit and short-term business visit. We do not provide any employment-visa, work-authorisation, or immigration/residency services, and nothing on this site should be read as immigration or residency advice.

A valid passport, a recent photograph meeting the required specification, a completed application form, purpose-of-travel documents (itinerary for tourist/social visits, an invitation letter for business visits), and evidence of sufficient funds. See our full documents checklist for the itemised list.

It's made up of a government fee plus a service charge. We don't publish a fixed figure since fees can change — enquire and we'll quote current pricing for your specific case.

Processing time depends on document completeness, travel dates, and the authorised channel's current workload. We don't promise a fixed number of days — apply as early as practical.

Prepare your documents, confirm the right visa category for your trip, and submit through an authorised visa application channel, since individuals in India can't file directly with Singapore's ICA. See our step-by-step application guide for the full process.

No — the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) is a separate, free, mandatory digital arrival/health declaration submitted online within 3 days before you arrive. It is not a visa and does not replace one.

The digital entry permission granted at the checkpoint when you arrive in Singapore — emailed to you, with no passport stamp since 11 March 2022. It's different from the visa and is issued after it, on arrival.

We keep you directly informed as your application moves through the authorised channel, rather than pointing you to a self-service tracking portal. Contact us any time for an update on your case.

A recent, clear colour photograph against a plain, light background, with a full front-facing view and neutral expression. We confirm the exact current specification for you before you apply.

Yes, family members can generally apply as a group, with each person — including children — submitting their own required documents. We help coordinate group applications.

Incomplete documents, inconsistent details across the form and supporting papers, an unclear travel purpose, and weak proof of funds are among the most common, realistic reasons. Careful document review reduces — but can't eliminate — this risk.

These are different names for the same underlying visa category — leisure travel and visiting family or friends in Singapore all fall under the Social Visit Pass framework. There's no separate official "Tourist Visa" product alongside it.

No. We assist exclusively with short-term visit visas — tourist/social visits and short-term business visits (meetings, conferences, exhibitions). We do not provide any employment-visa, work-authorisation, or immigration/residency services.

Indian passport holders generally cannot file an application directly with Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) — applications are submitted through an authorised visa application channel, which is the step we help with.

This happens sometimes and usually just means one document needs clarifying or replacing. We let you know exactly what's being requested and help you respond quickly.

Key Terms — Singapore Visa for Indians

Singapore Entry Visa

Pre-travel permission to enter Singapore. Indian passport holders generally need one before travel; it is applied for through an authorised visa application channel, not directly with ICA.

Visit Pass (e-Pass)

Granted digitally at the checkpoint when you arrive in Singapore — emailed, with no passport stamp (since 11 Mar 2022). This is different from the visa itself.

SG Arrival Card (SGAC)

A free, mandatory digital arrival and health declaration submitted online within 3 days before you arrive. It is not a visa and does not replace one.

Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)

The Singapore government authority responsible for visa and entry decisions. Visa Expertz assists with preparation and submission only — final decisions rest with ICA.

Social Visit Pass

The official term for a tourist/social Singapore visit — covering leisure travel and visiting family or friends.

Short-Term Business Visit

A visit for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, or trade events. Not a work pass — no employment or salary in Singapore.

Authorised Visa Application Channel

Since individuals in India cannot file directly with ICA, applications are submitted through an authorised channel on the applicant's behalf.
