Singapore Visa Documents Required for Indian Applicants
Every Singapore visit-visa application from India needs the same core set of documents, plus one or two extra items depending on whether you're travelling for leisure, to see family, or for business. Here's the full checklist.
Core Documents — Every Applicant
- Passport — valid, with adequate remaining validity and blank pages, plus a copy of the bio-data page
- Photograph — a recent photograph meeting the required specification (see our photo requirements guide)
- Completed application form — filled in accurately and consistently with your passport details
- Proof of funds — evidence you can support yourself for the trip
- Return travel plan — flight booking or itinerary showing your intended dates
Additional Documents by Purpose of Travel
| Travel Purpose | What's Typically Also Needed |
|---|---|
| Tourist / leisure visit | Travel itinerary and accommodation/hotel booking details |
| Visiting family or friends | Details of who you're visiting and, where relevant, evidence of the relationship — see our family trip guidance |
| Short-term business visit | An invitation letter from the Singapore-based company you're meeting, describing the purpose and duration of your visit |
See our Tourist Visa and Business Visa pages for the full picture on each category.
Documents for Children
Children travelling with family need their own passport and photograph, and are generally listed as separate applicants even though the family submits together. We coordinate group applications so this doesn't become extra work for you.
A Note on Consistency
The single most common reason a complete-looking document set still gets queried is inconsistency — a name spelt differently across the passport and form, travel dates that don't line up between the itinerary and the form, or an occupation stated differently in two places. We check for this before anything is submitted.
Not Sure What Applies to You?
The list above covers the general checklist for the two visit-visa categories we assist with. Your specific case — travel history, occupation, who's travelling with you — can mean something extra is useful. See our broader eligibility overview, or get in touch and we'll confirm the exact list for your trip before you start gathering anything.

Key Terms — Singapore Visa for Indians
Singapore Entry Visa
Pre-travel permission to enter Singapore. Indian passport holders generally need one before travel; it is applied for through an authorised visa application channel, not directly with ICA.
Visit Pass (e-Pass)
Granted digitally at the checkpoint when you arrive in Singapore — emailed, with no passport stamp (since 11 Mar 2022). This is different from the visa itself.
SG Arrival Card (SGAC)
A free, mandatory digital arrival and health declaration submitted online within 3 days before you arrive. It is not a visa and does not replace one.
Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
The Singapore government authority responsible for visa and entry decisions. Visa Expertz assists with preparation and submission only — final decisions rest with ICA.
Social Visit Pass
The official term for a tourist/social Singapore visit — covering leisure travel and visiting family or friends.
Short-Term Business Visit
A visit for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, or trade events. Not a work pass — no employment or salary in Singapore.
Authorised Visa Application Channel
Since individuals in India cannot file directly with ICA, applications are submitted through an authorised channel on the applicant's behalf.
