Singapore Tourist Visa for Indians
Planning a leisure trip to Singapore — sightseeing, a holiday, a honeymoon, or a family getaway? This is the visa most Indian travellers need for that kind of trip.
What This Visa Actually Is
"Singapore Tourist Visa" is the term most people search for, but it isn't a separate official visa category on its own — it falls under Singapore's Social Visit Pass framework, the same category used for visiting family or friends. We use "Tourist Visa" here because that's how most Indian travellers describe a leisure trip; the content on this page applies to that leisure-travel scenario specifically. If you're visiting relatives or friends rather than travelling purely for leisure, our Family Visit Visa page covers the same category with that angle.
Who Needs It
Indian passport holders travelling to Singapore for tourism — sightseeing, holidays, honeymoons, or group tours — generally need this visa before travel. It does not permit employment, paid work, or accessing public funds in Singapore.
What You'll Typically Need
- A valid passport with adequate remaining validity
- A recent photograph meeting the required specification
- A completed application form
- Travel itinerary or accommodation details
- Evidence of sufficient funds for the trip

How to Apply
Indian applicants cannot file directly with Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) — applications go through an authorised visa application channel. We review your documents, confirm this is the right category for your trip, and submit your application through that channel. See our full application process guide.
After Your Visa Is Approved
A visa decision isn't the end of the process. On arrival, you'll be granted a digital Visit Pass (e-Pass) at the checkpoint, and you must separately submit the SG Arrival Card online within 3 days before you arrive — it's a free declaration, not a visa, and doesn't replace one.

What is a Singapore Tourist Visa?
A common name for the visa Indian travellers need for leisure trips to Singapore — sightseeing, holidays, or visiting family and friends. Officially, this falls under Singapore's Social Visit Pass framework rather than a distinct "tourist visa" category.
Key Terms — Singapore Visa for Indians
Singapore Entry Visa
Pre-travel permission to enter Singapore. Indian passport holders generally need one before travel; it is applied for through an authorised visa application channel, not directly with ICA.
Visit Pass (e-Pass)
Granted digitally at the checkpoint when you arrive in Singapore — emailed, with no passport stamp (since 11 Mar 2022). This is different from the visa itself.
SG Arrival Card (SGAC)
A free, mandatory digital arrival and health declaration submitted online within 3 days before you arrive. It is not a visa and does not replace one.
Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
The Singapore government authority responsible for visa and entry decisions. Visa Expertz assists with preparation and submission only — final decisions rest with ICA.
Social Visit Pass
The official term for a tourist/social Singapore visit — covering leisure travel and visiting family or friends.
Short-Term Business Visit
A visit for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, or trade events. Not a work pass — no employment or salary in Singapore.
Authorised Visa Application Channel
Since individuals in India cannot file directly with ICA, applications are submitted through an authorised channel on the applicant's behalf.
